The loss of her elder sister Yorktown affected Enterprise more than anyone could have imagined. The stoic, stalwart guardian of the Pacific gradually turned more cold as time passed. While the Eagle Union was making excellent progress against the Sakura Empire, victories were Pyrrhic and never without heavy casualties. What's more is that, as their most prestigious carrier, the Union could simply not afford to lose Enterprise in combat, lest morale be broken for all those brave American sailors that yet held firm.
Grief turned to bitterness, bitterness to spite. Enterprise wanted nothing more than to bring those responsible for Yorktown's death to justice, to see those filthy Japs they were slaughtering made to kneel. ''Soon'', ''You will, I promise'' It just wasn't good enough. No, if the Eagle Union would not offer her a chance at a dish best served cold, perhaps sleeping with an enemy would. There was never any love lost between the Sakura Empire and the Iron Blood. To call their allyship strained was mighty generous. The eastern Axis power considered them brutish gaijin, the Germans considered the Japanese reckless idiots.
She had known the Iron Blood maintained a presence in the Pacific, to keep an eye on their allies and intervene should it be needed. Of course, weapons were drawn and aimed at the American carrier's head when she first visited, but it became apparent that this was no trick very quickly. The Nazi Kommandant atop the food chain had ordered her to execute a few American sailors as a proof of loyalty, which she did gleefully. What was some star-spangled blood getting spilled if it meant the Sakura commander would soon follow? They were no different than any of the other poor sods drowning between gunfire and explosions.
The Americans, for their part, were worried sick at Enterprise's disappearance, but perhaps ignorance was preferable to finding out the ugly truth. Twisted by vengeance and hate, a wrathful ghost now roams the Pacific. The Japanese commander's head mounted on one of the runways of her rigging, her new target is those same bastards that never allowed her to avenge Yorktown and her other fallen sisters. If you think she's there, run. If you hear her planes, cower. If you see her frame, it's too late.
