Recently I've been trying to take a dip into Stoner Metal. Heavy music with lots of distortion, raw vocals and themes of mysticism and drugs etc. like early Black Sabbath. As always I'd recommended someone listening to VOL. 4 as I do believe with all the songs put together, it's better than Paranoid album even if the song is my favorite. I'd also say some songs on Facelift by Alice In Chains, their live performance of Man In the Box at the Moore Theater was badass. I got a few tracks lined up at the moment, those being Sleep's Holy Mountain, Come My Fanatics, 1782, NOLA, Born Too Late and Astral Necromancy.

I mentioned Beethoven before (especially during his middle and late periods and even more especially the Eroica and Ode to Joy Symphonies) but here’s some other musicians/genres I enjoy. I should note I majored in music and I *WORSHIP* the art form!
Fred Hersch (even if you hate jazz)
Russian Church Bells
Giacomo Puccini
If I had a specific type of film score in that pantheon I’d recommend it but really it depends on how well it works with the scene. The Disney songs usually do a good job though (and are even more awesome if they’re the villain songs)
And some musicians Im getting into for professional reasons (Beethoven is also in that class). Highly reccomended for our site’s users for reasons they’ll get~ (but are no less controversial)
