Always a bit of a cuck since he never took the initiative to do anything, just what he was told to do. Also he should have bred with more women that he came across, clearly taking them up on the offer (ie Zoe)

Understandable. Though, Ethan always struck me as more of a family man. So I can see why he would settle for one woman instead of multiple.
