Why do People in Hentai Community like ERP so much?

Something I never really got is how on ever hentai site, the majority of the comments tend to be about seeking random ERP partners. Even wierder to me, a lot of the people doing it all ready have boyfriends and so on, so I don't see why they don't just ERP with them. Don't get me wrong, I can understand why text and erotica can be hot, and I'd find sexting hot, too, but sexting seems completely different than what the people into ERP want. They seem to just want the text, and have no interest in actually getting to know the person or date them, like you would normally see with people wanting to meet other people online, which at that point, why don't they just use AI chatbots instead of trying to find ERP partners?

I guess it's because they can put themselves in the erp characters shoes and thus the experience of jerking off is more pleasurable? I used to go and look for HOURS for WMLF content just so I could relate to it and put myself in her shoes. As for the AI part I think it's cause human writing just has that essence of life in it that makes it hot, AIs writing is dead and cold..

See for me, i just assumed the point of the human touch is because you want to get off with someone u like, like in sexting, but that clearly isnt the case because ERPers seem to want to keep the interaction anonymous, like they dont care who the person on the other side of the screen is, that is what i find wierd.

But wouldnt actually getting to know the person and finding someone you are interested in actualy be more likely to make you feel loved and desired? Ok but i feel like that is looking at it backwards, if you want a specific kink shouldnt you try to find a partner from that community instead of keeping the ERP seperate from dating? Like for me, if i want a partner into bleached, i would look in bleached communities to find one, instead of just using ERP with a random when im horny.

if anything it gives people an outlet to live out their weirder or more taboo kinks without fear of shame or ever actually ruining relationships in an especially quick and relatively easy manner. Though I agree with your points either way, if you want that, you could easily get that service fulfilled by an AI chatbot, and if you desire deeper connection, you probably ought to find someone in the community and form some kind of intimate bond with them for even greater pleasure and fulfillment out of the act and then eventually maybe something more. but again, most people don't want that because of their own value judgement

ERP is mostly done by single people and is a very easy way to try out fantasies, scenarios and even taboo kinks without risk of wierding out someone irl. In relation to this kink given how controversial and taboo it is it's no wonder people want to try it out in a situation where they're not at risk. I've only really met one person that's been trying to fish for relationships through it and she was .. rather odd.
Though to state the obvious the main reason people ERP is because they're not confident in their ability to romance someone in real life and so use it as a substitute for real sex since it's more involved and 1:1 than a porn video and completely free though i'm sure there's other reasons too.

Well if the majority of people doing it are single i dont get why they wouldnt just "fish for relationships" instead. Like you said, you only saw like one person doing that, while the vast majority dont. I get the people who are into open relationships or one night stands, but somehow based off the number i doubt that's actually the case, because usually those people arent like 90%+ of the community if a place. Also the women in one night stands tend to care for looks a lot, they dont just have sex with anyone, they want someone hot, where as ERPs dont really even bother to know the looks of their partners, and if the partner doesnt matter at all, i figure you can just use an AI chatbot. 2 very simple reasons

1 - Erpers are not looking for a relationship.
Just like people in real life who only ever sleep around or do hook ups, they just want sex. That's it, nothing more. Romantic relationships are nice but sometimes you just don't wanna be in one and just want to fufil your lust.

2 - ERP as a whole.
You're pretending have sex with a completely anyonmous stranger, you'll give them the benefit of the doubt but there's no garauntee it's not a middle aged ugly ass old man or anorexic old woman on the other end - also given the fact i'd say a good 80% of erpers are erping out of lack of confidence in their looks I personally wouldn't risk romancing someone for a long distance relationship ( a great many of which don't work out ) just to meet up with a landwhale or obese " femboy " , trying to Edate in an ERP community is the worst idea imaginable.

As for " One night standers care about looks "

Also to add onto the " Why not just fish for relationships? " now i do actually recall one sub community of erp where it's common - Femdom.
Maybe it's just a guy thing but most femdom centric rp servers on discord are full of desperate ass subby guys who don't really wanna RP and just want to sext, they'll very easily be convinced to sending lewds/nudes of themselves on a dime if they haven't already tried to send you unsolicited pictures of their ass and i'm pretty sure if you opened up the idea of e-dating they'd come around pretty quick.

1. Well like i said, it seems off considering the numbers. At most you ezpect maybe 50% of the people not caring about relationships, but in this case, it seems like ERP is 90% of the posts on hentai sites. It's hard to believe only 10% care aboit relationships.

2. I understand that's how the ERP community is, i was more saying why arent there less people in the ERP section and more in the looking for relationships category. For example, the ERP thread has over 100 pages even here, meanwhile any relationship thread whenever rarely made gets like 1 page. 100 to 1 seems off statistically. In general the forums outside the ERP thread get less engagement all together than the ERP thread. Outside of it, it's most the same few users on the other threads.
