I agree with the Nazi stuff get blocked by default and it's a separate thing too (although the things both in common are white dominance and to an extent, eugenics though Nazism has a more extreme version of it). All the other stuff should get the same blocking treatment or get removed imo. Why? In certain important respects, white is the default in porn. People tend to find whites attractive, whether male or female, and that's more or less something that carries forward into smut. Blacked stuff, even at at its most vanilla presenting, is inherently a kink that plays with white being attractive and the default; part of the appeal there is literally the viewer being able to clearly identify the male as "not me," which has cuck value, and in the girl having sex with an unattractive, inferior, or bestial man, which has corruption/degradation value. There are other issues besides these embedded contradictions. Bleachbooru emerged out of 4chan, has light moderation and pseudonymous posting; such conditions breed a fairly disagreeable and contentious userbase, as well as attract people who think they're making a political statement by jerking off to a skin edit. Bleached people on other sites seem to actually be a lot more "normal" and less caught up in fetish war nonsense and "not being degenerate." Bleached is also almost certainly algorithmically suppressed because it favors white people.
Of course, those things mentioned, fundamentally a lot of it still does boil down to the contradictions. If you like vanilla sex with a white guy and a dark-skinned girl with no humiliating overtones you're honestly just into normal porn, and while a decision was made forever ago to host simple skin edits and vanilla WMxF interracial, that was a policy of casting a wide net and of providing a home for skin edits that would otherwise be lost, not a policy that really identified those things as "core bleached."
The tension between people who wanted hardcore cuck-adjacent smut with white guys, and people who wanted a nonwhite gf the way they wanted a hellhound gf, was never resolved, at least here. Outside of here and 4chan and certain discords, it seems to have definitively resolved in favor of the former; on /trash/ it had resolved in favor of wholesomeslop last I checked, which is why /bleached/ on /trash/ is just /mgg/. There's an interesting parallel in the furry scene, where there are three "human male, furry girl" threads: one for "tfw no hyena gf to be a househusband for" crap, one for dommy furry girls, and one for dommy human men. Of course all three of them just use e621, and I suppose all three equivalent tendencies in white guy, nonwhite girl raceplay use Bleachbooru, as well as people who think they're striking a blow against international Jewry by jerking off to interracial porn where the guy is white.
That disagreeableness and tension and contradiction, and the inherently degrading nature of the kink, all contribute to a moderately hostile environment. I've expressed my exasperation repeatedly at people getting in stupid fucking political arguments on the forum, or using the site as a venue for their war against blacked. When I was writing this post I thought about the time that Nyantcha made some bleached self-edits. Instead of being pleased that a famous artist had made bleached art, the comments were full of bitching about Nyantcha having done blacked edits in the past. Likewise, a very long time ago, I had to deal with people attacking a VA who was interested in doing bleached stuff because said VA had also done blacked stuff. Or once I had to shut down a thread proposing to curate a list of artists that had done blacked stuff so they could be blacklisted or harassed. This kind of behavior is retarded, and not conducive to the long term health of the fetish, nor is people making threads on a porn booru about whether Slavs are white.
There isn't really a conclusion here. Basically bleached in the loosest sense is popular. Everyone loves white dick. The site gets millions of unique visitors every month; people know what bleached is and use visual motifs and language originated by the first bleached threads on 4chan. You even see tattoo edits and such out in the wild, increasingly so. But as a community Bleachbooru has serious, intractible issues, and as a kink bleached contains contradictions that were never resolved in a satisfactory way and that ultimately limit it. Despite being inactive, I still love bleached; I do bleached stuff elsewhere. But in the end the booru and its community in particular is not worth engaging with and I only even brought v3 online as a personal favor to a friend and as a public service. The fact that threads like this would be made was actually, at the time, a convincing argument in favor of just abandoning the project.

I think people underestimate the popularity of Bleached, not so much because "white is the default" is actually true but because there are many people who might draw the fetish but don't know that's the name of it, or are aware of the Booru's existence. I have seen over time a lot of artists steadily make Bleached edits or original drawings of their own accord, and while there are many "original" editors and the like I've seen come and go I have also seen plenty of new people join up to fill the gaps.
The niche nature of Bleached has never bothered me, and if more people get into it, great, but I've always thought that instead of fixating on Blacked or trying to "solve" Bleached's perceived problems, you should always just make things instead. Captions, edits, whatever. Making material like that is what helps, not debating whether or not the Nazi tag should be added to the default blacklist or if NTR is "permissible" in the Bleached kink.
