Bleachbooru

America or Europa

Posted under General

I have dual citizenship with germany and america and i plan either stay in or america or move to germany so what would bleachbooru do? Stay in the land your father immigrated to or go to back to the land of your ancestors?

The grass is always greener elsewhere. I'm from your neighbouring Netherlands, and Western Europe faces its own challenges (and I'm not just talking about muh migration) much like the USA does. A housing crisis that has ruined prospects for hopeful first time home owners, an economy increasingly hostile towards young people and endless meaningless culture wars that serve to distract the population from the actual issues and those who perpetuate them.

I'm sure a lot of that is also true for the USA, I'm just saying you shouldn't expect to step into a wonderland of Hyperborean values, you'll be sorely disappointed.

Try to learn as much German as you can before moving if you do. You don't want to be -that- American that doesn't understand a lick of culture nor speaks the language, but claims us as his own countrymen. You'll be looked at with annoyed gazes if you do that. That said, most Germans speak really good to acceptable English.

Europeans don't care as much about skin colour as they care about nationality (racism is still alive and well here, though), so don't be surprised if other white people stereotype you based on your nationality.

Finally, don't take the bait of migrating to huge cities like Berlin or Düsseldorf. Prices are exorbitant and the standard of living is lower than more remote, rural areas.

Good luck! Sounds like an awesome opportunity for you.

I mean, US has the right to free speech and the right to self-defense going for it unlike Western Europe. For me, it would be very hard to leave my homeland, but it is tempting.

yeah one of the few things holding me back

It is seen in earlier superhero and historical epic entertainment. The concept of unabridged virtue instead of moral "diversity" is our strength with iconoclasm: American values versus European.

What is odd is the deference to power and the willingness to subvert your principles to do so compared to America and its strong culture of vigilantism and principle. This has been eroded over the years, especially since mass European migration during the socialism problems of the last century. And honestly its dangerous for everyone, see the trends in the gov't in the US following the EU. Or for a spot example, the treatment of Daniel Penny.

The irony is the convenient lack of that iconoclasm being applied to the gov't. It seems the is no lower bounds to this, or extremity of being microregulated by tortured legal interpretations. Awfully semitic, but there was a nordic tradition where it's incredibly wrong and selfish to step outside the word of the legal statutes because of jurisprudence.

Another thing that concerns me is that the EU is facing the End of History harder than the US. The recent return of talks of historical proof of how good tariffs are versus income tax being a general burden would never happen in the EU. Is it that wrong to seek personal liberty, and not give it to others? To give it to others is easily shown as showing your vulnerable back to people who are not like you, and are very unlikely to care about you.

tldr: US values of principles are directly incompatible and superior to (as seen above, EU, but also) every other culture. Too much collective guilt, too much lemming mentality, too much deference to plainly evil govt's and to rules to stop evil. And ironically, no sense of history to think of alternatives or your ancestors, despite having infinitely longer histories.

Pros of europe: less diversity and higher trust society (pretty much outdated now)

Not as corpo controlled so you can have a better standard ofliving if poor(also outdated because og housing prices from mass immigration)

Free healthcare (once again, mass immigration shot up the waiting times, so inferior to medicaid now)

Pros of usa: everything else.

Just move to a white state in usa and get medicaid, that is superior to living in europe now.
