Amy Rose is a character from the Sonic series, first appearance in Sonic CD (Released September 23rd 1993). She has an obsessive love for Sonic the Hedgehog and is one of her more defining traits within current Sonic media.
Amy rose has two main designs throughout the Sonic games, the classic design where she sports a orange skirt, green shirt and a pair of sneakers which oddly, have shoelaces on them, a oddity in Sonic designs. Her classic design also has her quills pointed back, similarly to Sonic's quills. Amy also has a tuft of fur right on her forehead. She is also seen sporting a headband throughout both of her game designs. Her modern design is quite a bit different, with Amy now sporting a Red Dress, Red boots with a white stripe down the center of them. And a new hairstyle, having her quills more contained to her head and going down to the sides with none in the back,

Amy rose is also commonly seen carrying around her "Piko Piko Hammer", which is modeled after a toy of the same name, just increased in size massively. The first appearance of the weapon was in the game "Sonic the Fighters" (Released May 1996) in order to strengthen the "Tomboyish" aspect of her character.
