All I'm saying is: it would've been a moment of great historical irony for American soldiers to bring tens of thousands of (willing) Japanese women home and then treat them well, care for them, knock them up and give them a happy family. Compare that to the horrors of the "comfort women" system and the general brutality against women imposed by the Japanese military. Alas, hindsight is 20/20.

Fun fact, this actually kind of happened. It wasn't exactly on the scale of tens of thousands, but some American soldiers (usually minorities) did take home Japanese wives.
