What is the left's obession with Trump?

Posted under General

So obviously Doland duck has won the election yet again ( after the opposing party subbed out their candidate for another one, who saw this coming!? ) and the reaction from certain people has been as expected - complete outrage and mental breakdown - " oh no the evil orange man won now he's going to ban being gay!!! " and it's just made me question like - why do the SJW leftys hate this man so much?
Like legitimately I don't understand it the most controversial thing he's ever done is roll back roe v wade and it's not like they weren't already hating on this man before he did that I just really don't understand the irrational hatred for him when previous candidates got nowhere near this amount of vitriolic seething hatred thrown towards them even when they were as bad as someone like Bill Clinton - if you ask most people WHY they dislike him they'll claim something along the lines of " He's racist " or " He's a misogonist " and it's like ok? That's not unique to him in the slightest and you can bet your bank account Kamala Harris has some " out-dated " opinons or views on any given group of people or policies again the real TLDR here is me trying to wrap my head around the media ( & general public's ) complete and sheer distain for this man inspite of being no worse than any previous political candidate of the last 80 years

Because if you are not with the leftists you will be called fascist. racist. Nazi, etc.

Everything goes through a moral lense which is a kinda bad way to see things. Its just echo chambers exploding... While trump has done some bad stuff, they just overblow it to demonize him... Its all about women, minorities and men bad. Victimizing yourself yada yada.

Its all a double edge sword and honestly it becomes annoying how they behave.

He's a media cash cow. If you ask me, he's like all politicians, most of which are greedy, back-stabbing, drug trafficking, data farming, arrogant, bigoted pedophiles. Only difference is that his inflammatory characteristics are on full display similarly to Nancy Pelosi, AOC and his vice president which will normalize this kind of behavior in the coming years. They behave more like asshole celebrities (Elon Musk, Andre Tate, the Kardashians, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Amy Schumer etc.) and political twitch streamers (Destiny, Hasanabi, Vaush etc.) than politicians. It's made him and the American news media lots of money in the past ten years so I'd be very curious as to how this country's media and politics will look like when he dies.

Because the establishment told people to hate him for 8 years, it's literally just that. Everyone loved him before that, even that fat black lady. Seriously just look at lefty interviews before he decided to run for president, all the lefty establishment loved him.

That said, i dont think the outrage is like 2016 levels, because he hasnt been demonized as much the past year. He went from orange hitler to just a bad man.

I wish that I was then as I am now instead of the 16yo reactionary on YouTube I was. Probably would've enjoyed the lunacy of it all instead of trying argue with strangers on the internet. I remember how I used to watch Steven Crowder a lot. Glad I jumped that ship sooner than later.

I don't wanna say i was super radicalised but i was hyper conservative at one point and jesus christ right-wing youtube is absolute schlop - don't watch it , it's just designed to make you out-raged so you'll continue clicking on the videos they upload but the " alt right " ( i'd just call it the conservatism pipeline it's not really extreme in anyway ) pipeline is a different topic entirely.

Apolitical I suppose, nowadays I pay attention to politics for its entertainment value and through an observational view. Like how I'm currently reading Stephen Fry's Mythos. A retelling of the Greek religious stories that examines them, how they are made, how people have changed (or not) and how they affect us today.

I remember it quite well. Snowflake was the trending buzzword, the supreme court ruling about the guy who refused to make a cake for a couple couple, liberal cringe/rage compilations, Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens and Jordan Peterson were getting famous. My mom woke me up for school and joked that Hilary won the election and apparently I had enough of a reaction for both of us to remember that. I feel like such a sucker looking back, I wish I had taken all that time and interest and put it into music like I do now.

Kinda find it wierd to be apolitical in modern era when we are living in a total state. Every aspect of pretty much everything in life now is under the purview of the state. I can't think of anything not regulated, taxed, etc.

I remember it quite well. All the snowflake ragebait I used to watch when I could've found the hobbies I'd come to enjoy. A lot of time wasted unfortunately.

Most of them are grifters reactionaries who rely on ragebait to make a living. The problem with the right is that we don't create culture, we just react and get mad at it. A slave obeys (leftists) but a slave that resists is still a slave (rightwingers). Can't really create a movement if all we do is cry, complain and be on the defensive all the time. Nowadays pretty much the only ones that are worth my time are John Doyle, Andrew Wilson and the podcast of the Lotus Eaters.

If apolitical is an improper term then I apologize. I suppose this might clarify it better. All I care about are my family life and hobbies. Participating in politics in any way beyond observing is of no interest to me. Even us just discussing this is making me feel sensitive about being understood when I shouldn't feel any way on how anyone the internet thinks.

that's fair, since the things closest to you tend to be the ones you impact the most.

Thank you for understanding. A cousin of mine had a baby last year but she just up and left and the baby's father works offshore. So my grandparents take care of her most days and I help when I can. In my view, that will have much more of an impact than me ever going to a polling station.

wait was the choice either you guys take care of it or it goes to adoption? How did a mom leave a baby?

To your first question, yes I believe those are the two options. Her father has an offshore job so he can only see her sparingly. That leaves it to my grandparents (retired) and my mother (when she can) to take her in most of the time. To your second, mothers in tight-knit families will outsource care to senior family members to give her a break for a few days. So I assume she dropped the baby off at someone's house like usual but she just left without telling anyone and hasn't spoken to anyone in our family since. Worst part is that this is legally excusable and she can just waltz right back into her child's life as long as she does within six months of abandonment. Of course if the father had jumped ship he'd have to pay child support and that whole shebang. Figures, every child deserves parents but not every parent deserves a child.

wait, is that the actual rule that u dont need to pay child support if she comes back in 6 months? ive never dealt with it so idk.

I think I might've mixed something up here. The consequences are for custody battles. Since she is a woman all she has to do is return within six months and if she does her father can't claim sole custody despite the fact she abandoned her child for almost a year. But it wouldn't take six months for the mother to claim sole custody of their child and demand child support if the father were to bail. Was just pointing out a bit of gender-based parental preference in the courts is all.

As far as I've seen (maybe it's cause I'm 21 and too chronically online) but the amount of hatred he gets is insane. They're saying he's going to turn USA into Venezuela, genocide blacks, latinos, gays and women, deport atheists or Muslims and Jews etc. Go into every house and rape all the women there and force them to die in childbirth etc. It's absolutely insane cause he's actually way more progressive than 99% of Dem candidates (supports gay people, wants abortion ban only after 12-18 weeks and exceptions for rape and incest, wants more women to study and be in the workforce etc etc etc).

It's also interesting to see the amount of misogyny this has brought out of Democrats. I've seen Dems who say that a Rep girl getting raped so hard her intestines prolapse would be "karmic justice" and that she's "perfect rapebait".. I've seen thousands of people saying that they hope the daughters/nieces/cousins of Rep men/women get raped and impregnated and that they die in childbirth or Dems saying they will abuse elderly Reps that are living in their assisted living facilities/care homes. It's absolutely abhorrent
