Gay is not normal the same way schizofrenia, or down syndrome, or any other mental disorder isnt normal. It's a mental disorder by any classification of a mental disorder.
Also by 1% i mean gays that actually want to get married. Even if gays are a bit more than 1%, many arent interested in married. So you are reordering society just to pander to a tiny percent of the society.
