Good evening
I've been watching quite a lot of stuff recently involving afro-americans. I need to really concentrate to understand them. Like, if there wouldn't be any subtitles on a video i wouldn't understand jackshit. Why are they speaking in that "dialect" of english? It's not even a fucking dialect really, it often doesn't even make fucking sense at all,

Honestly i find it the opposite. When the women speak it it's a major turn off, but it's kinda funny to hear black people speak that way, in the sense of the "comedic idiot". Essentially just boondocks.
Honestly I have no fucking idea why they speak like that, but it's frustrating to listen to. It's especially annoying when other races intentionally speak like that, because you know damn well that's not how they speak naturally. It's impossible to respect someone who willingly makes themselves sound retarded.

I think they speak like that because they are actually retarded, not just trying to sound retarded. Even in the slavery days didnt black people have a simpler dialect too? it's not just modern gang culture. Like the sterotypical 1800s black is dialect is like "masta aint guna like dem"

When I said "other races" I was referring more to Whites/asians/hispanics etc that willingly adopt ebonics. It's something that I struggle to wrap my head around.
Blatant racism achieves nothing—it often stems from cultural differences rooted in the communities people were raised in. Let's be logical and avoid indulging in chronic online toxicity. This is a unique interest, so don't confuse it with real-life issues or ruin the community for everyone
They want a unique way to differentiate themselves from others. Just like the British Upper class started speaking differently to the poorer british to sound differently than them. So nowadays in the US southern states the accents are more similar to old English than current English. (Paraphrasing)

Who knew that the Iliterate slaves that had to learn english by themselves from coherlating certain words and phrases to actions their owner would scream at them wouldn't speak english very well.
They spoke like that because they were iliterate, uneducated and foreign , a lot of victorian pickpockets and chimney sweepers didn't exactly speak the queen's english.

Also as a non american I just find it to be a mix of whatever part of africa they were from ( because their mouths naturally make the movements of their original langauge ) and wherever they were brought up - like honestly in places where people have very heavy accents like south carolina i wouldn't be able to tell a black from a white without looking at them.
It's the same in the UK where a lot of pakistanis / indians just have an accent that's like 50% regional & 50% Urdu however in some areas like cambridge they sound like the whitest white to ever white adorning their advanced lexicon upper-class English otherwise known to commoners as " The Queen's English "

While i tend to be racist i wouldnt say blacks are just inferior. It's like calling a polar bear inferior to a brown bear or vice versa. The polar bear does better in the arctic, the brown bear in the forest. White man does better in what we consider "civilization", but the black man undoubtedly does better in africa. Africans are the fastst growning race currently so they are doing fine "evolutionarily". It's just the ones that come to the west that are incompatible.
