I said amoral, not necessarily evil, but yes they've always been that way. The only difference is the social order the women were enforcing was decent and created by good men, IE the Christian Victorian type societies so when the nuns or women would hit some dude with a stick or yell at them, it was likely that he was actually doing something bad, likely staying to late drinking instead of going to work, not because he was "racist or sexist" or something. Once the powers that be decide the social order should be an evil one though, they switch to enforcing that one. Most women adapt to the power, a few have instincts that keep them one way though.
