Slow approval

Hi just one small question, the rate of approval is pretty slow, is this normal?

Lol, six months later and that still hasn't changed.

Volunteer mod staff and the queue gets backlogged pretty quickly because of a few users uploading their daily limit all at once, every day or close to it.

My Pit edits are gonna be disapproved due to the mods not getting around to it in time :(

Can there just be a tag on unaproved edits, and just add them to the default blacklist? that seems like a better system.
