Sorry if this is bad to ask, but I've never done art or image editing before, are there any good free ai gens out there? No subscription or login bullshit.
Of course I am not planning to upload any since the rules state that it's banned (Unless it's actually good looking I think?)

https://waifus.nemusona.com/ is one that I use. you don't have to log in or anything. It's pretty good to generate whatever you need it to

And the good ones are under a heavy paywall. If you have good skills in tech and whatnot, you could always compile it yourself and run it on your machine or something along those lines. Most I see are low quality to downright malicious.

Tbh Unless I see another free ai service like nemusona I might actually have to just pick up a Pencil and learn to draw. I doubt my computer could manage making high quality gens and I heard that generating those pics take a lot of power too.
I used to draw as a kid and I always wanted to pick it up again so I could put my doujin ideas to paper.
I have coomed to ai pics but there is something "lacking" to them still.

Same here, also I forgot most of the free ones such as on Perchance have things left to be desired such as quality and it trying to generate a man with pale skin sometimes: CoPilot did a better job with generating images of what I want (though when I tried to put it where it's a let's say girl with dark/nonwhite skin and emo/goth clothes, they give me results with emo/goth white women sometimes).
Stable Diffusion and AI in general takes up a lot of resources like with the whole cryptomining thing: You need to have a powerful computer and have enough RAM to work with it. (Like 12GB or more)
The reason why it's lacking is because it's made by a machine, rather than an actual person so it looks soulless. It's like looking at logos and how most feel too corporate and samey now and less expressive like they once were. As if machines made it.
I'll draw stuff myself but at the same time, I'll never publish them online because I'm not going to fight Redditors nor people who hate my art because I draw stuff they don't personally like. If I get one person saying: "Change guy's skintone please", I'm rolling my eyes and I will explain to them that there's porn of what they like elsewhere and it's spammed a lot and I'm not the right person to do that.
