Most degradation stuff (atleast the hardcore stuff) I see coming from guys tends to reek of some sort of insecurity. Or the need for control over her by controlling her sexuality or making her do stuff she normally would not do or does not want to do because you can. What you are describing is actually very simillar to other things I have heard too from my circle.
I think most "alpha male culture" types tend to be very insecure so they have to exert control over women. Most machismo culture tends to be centered around exerting some control over women like that id say. And as you note we can see what sort of men that sort of stuff appeals to. I don't really think it's just like what you are describing. Id say that most likely the culture you were raised in has some level of degradation and objectification towards women ingrained in it's norms and values. Most guys tend to carry these norms and values and propogate them and thus are acting degrading towards women on some level. It can be subtle and hard to see if you generally haven't thought about it or reflected around it. But it is there, id say most guys never notice when they act that way because it's so normalized it's like a fish not being able to see the water because it's all around him.
And about the male feminist cuck stuff is also true but those types also tend to carry the same sort of chauvinist values they just express themselves differently. Id honestly be surprised if all your friends are like that because in my opinion most normies actually do carry a lot of views that objectify women on some level. I’m not really into degradation either, but I also understand on a personal level and from experience that it seems to be what women want or need/expect from their man. And to keep it on topic, it doesn’t seem to matter which race or creed of female it is, they almost always seem to crave being subjugated in some sort of way, playfully or even cruelly. I prefer the playful kind of dominating a woman, and I also think it’s because that’s a sign that she had a healthy upbringing and understanding of male nature growing up, maybe she had brothers that wrestled with her, maybe she had friends who played a little rough with her growing up, maybe she had a dad who was present and active in her life (lol). I think a lot of the women who are into being cruelly degraded often didn’t grow up with or interact much with boys-men so they project what they think men ought to be doing to them in sex, especially in lieu of our current anti-masculine culture which is kinda sad in a way.

I think you misunderstand what I meant by having a dad that was present and active! He didn’t need to play wrestle or be rough with you as you grew up lol, just for him to be someone who was reliable, ‘strong’, kind, loving in a fatherly way etc. Just having a father that you could look up to and use as a template for what traits/characteristics you want out of your boyfriends/husband eventually. Men do this too, with their moms, in fact men have it worse because there’s an oedipus complex there.. which is a topic for another day.
