Public schools are just utter garbage, what's funny is that there was a school nearby that I could have went to, entering middle/high school and it was a private religious school but we didn't have the money. They don't care about anything except for their sports team which they shill a bunch most of the time.

Honestly one of the most massive and cobsequential political changes they could do in america that no one ever talks about is remove taxpayer money from publuc school. Like you can still have them, but make the parents who send the kids there pay for it just like other schools. The fact that good parents that want to send their kids to better places have to essentially pay for 2 schools, both the private school and then taxed for public, is why public school is so messed up. In fact if they do this, i think most parents would opt for homeschool cause it would be the free option. This would massively change a lot. Right now homeschoolers have to still pay for public school

God i hated my high school sports teams so fucking much. Mainly because the school let the athletes do whatever the hell they wanted as well as spending like 90 percent of the money on the teams instead of trying to fix the broken bathrooms in the girls restroom

My school's pretty similar like your case: Only caring about sports and not doing anything to fix problems like mold in the classroom (They're genuinely cancerous places that makes students stay in and they don't get rid of mold), bathroom problems like students throwing shit in the bathroom, bullying, fights (there's always a fight that happens in the bathroom, class, cafeteria), and teachers treating it like it was therapy instead of teaching. The fact it was both a middle and high school together made it worse, the middle schoolers we had were vile and insane, when my class was in middle school, we barely did anything like that.

Anti-bullying and anti-male stuff barely did anything like they believe thought worked because you tell someone to stop bullying and they expect them to stop and they do but that doesn't work like that: all they do is say "don't bully" or "come to the teacher/conseuler'for help"' when most of that doesn't even work and kind of worsens it, it gets to a point where someone will take extreme measures for the bullies to stop even if it hurts or kill people. Yeah, I agree but sometimes, they'll be lenient on the students due to relations to school, biases, or they don't do their jobs. Enforcement at my school was non-existent to other problems like potential threats or fights but they seemed okay with just talking, doesn't help we had a scandal where one of them had sex with a teacher in the library where I'm sure someone or people were in there, students were basically talking about that for the rest of the day.

Middle school's very shitty, people say high school bad (though it is subjective) but middle school's way worse, there's movies about middle school that literally prove my point. Some teachers will not let kids go to the bathroom even if it's an emergency because "Why didn't you go there beforehand" as if 5 minutes was enough time for me to take a piss only to see fights, too many people going, and using it as hotspot for gossip or dumb stuff. Bathroom trips are worse at and after lunch because of people fighting or gossiping.

Yet again, doesn't help at the fact the one I went to had both middle and high school together so middle school me and everyone else would get harassed or imitated by the old high schoolers before us.
The worst we had were high schoolers hitting on middle schoolers and being creepy towards them.
The reason why my class wasn't like this now is because they want to set themselves as better examples to upcoming high schoolers and most of us still have morals and aren't as degenerate as the older classes.
