I was referring to how guys will most likely to be friends with other guys more than a girl unless the girl's a tomboy or FTM although it'll be 50/50 (some dudes will like it tolerate it, or not be a fan of it), I think it probably has something to do with how they can relate in terms of gender and possibly their biology since both genders' needs are very different, doesn't mean they can't be equal but their needs are different.

I mean yea, it's also just the fact that male friends a way easier to get and harder to offend than female ones for the average dude. From what i've seen, having/getting a female friend is essentially the same as maintaing a GF, with just none of the benefits of her actually being your GF.

True. If you're talking about offending in a hurts feeling way, I can see why: A girl can just do dumb stuff and when the guy tells them to stop, she'll cry or have a meltdown or you could say a dark humor joke and she'll get offended by it depending on her sense of humor and whether she's exposed to that stuff or not. Some girls are sensitive, others not (which imo is a sign that her parents raised her well and didn't princess her a lot as a kid). When you're friends with a girl, you basically get a few benefits but it's not the same as you said with her as a gf.
As for guys, it depends but the same principle applies: Let's say if you are a white dude who makes racial jokes (like basketball american jokes and similar) at other white dudes or ethnic dudes who are okay with racial jokes, nothing bad will happen and it's just jokes. I think the only ethnic dudes who can take racial jokes are those whitewashed ones (not in liberal senses, but of an alt-right/conservative sense) or they've been exposed to that stuff.
I know someone in my family who's friend with a Jew and the Jew is pretty much okay with Hitler and antisemitic jokes, I guess he liked offensive memes or he got exposed to that stuff and was disgusted/offended at first but then got used to it later on.
